GRANT #8 | TINLEE | ACUTE LYMPHOBLASTIC LEUKEMIA WARRIOR

August 21, 2019 – With the help of the wonderful employees at Mr. Davids Flooring International, the Kittie’s Warriors Foundation was able to raise funds for a special grant for a three year old girl named Tinlee. In February, Tinlee was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and has since had multiple blood transfusions, platelet transfusions and surgeries and is currently undergoing weekly chemotherapy infusions along with taking daily oral chemotherapy medication. Tinlee has responded well to her treatment, but has been unable to be a kid and cannot go out to public places or to school due to her compromised immune system. Tinlee will continue with her treatment until April of 2021.

Tinlee’s family reached out to Kittie’s Warriors because they were looking for assistance in bettering their environment at home since Tinlee will be spending so much time there. Along with a juicer to help with Tinlee’s nutrition, they wanted to purchase and install an air purification system and water purification system, but did not have the funds to do so. Kittie’s Warriors reached out to Matt at Pleasant Temps Heating & Cooling in Yorkville, IL for the air purification system install and Ron and Joe at Drip Drop Plumbing in Addison, IL for the water purification system install. Both of them generously offered their time to install the systems that were purchased for Tinlee’s family, driving outside of their normal service area to help. They were very professional, courteous and took extra care in making sure they kept Tinlee’s environment clean and safe while they performed their installs.
