The Kittie’s Warriors Program raises funds through the generous support of sponsors and donors and through the sale of handmade craft items that bring awareness to ALL types of cancers and that allows others to show their support in the process. All proceeds go directly into the program to assist patients by lifting financial burdens during what can quite possibly be the most trying time of ones life.
KW Program MAKES FIRST GRANT to cancer patient
November 13, 2018 was a very special day for Kittie’s Warriors. It marked a new milestone as we got to meet Andrea. Andrea is a wife, mother, breast cancer warrior and also the very first KW Program grant recipient.
Cancer is unexpected and brings with it many challenges. Not only physically and emotionally, but also financially. For Andrea, this grant came at the perfect time. Not only did it help with her families day-to-day bills, but she also found out that her car was in need of critical repairs so she could travel to her appointments and treatments.
2018 CHICAGO STARRY NIGHT WALK & 5K RUN
HOSTED BY THE PEDIATRIC BRAIN TUMOR FOUNDATION
The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation is the world’s leading nonprofit dedicated to the childhood brain tumor community. They serve the more than 28,000 U.S. children and teens battling brain tumors by investing in the most promising research and providing practical, informational and emotional support to families.
Kittie’s Warriors was invited to participate in this great event to support pediatric brain tumor research. Supporting in particular, Team Abigail. Brian Schmidt’s pink Kittie’s Warriors Corvette was the pace car for the event and the children were given the chance to get in the drivers seat for a picture. There were smiles all around and we are honored to have been able to participate in such a big way. Abigail is a true warrior. GO TEAM ABIGAIL!
